The unique and unusual

This is my first watercolor piece inspired by Carne Griffths & Shepard Fairey. My subject matter was one of my classmates and my color scheme was red, creme and blue.My materials were watercolor paper and watercolor paint; the piece is 8x9.5. It didn't turn out how I imagine it but I can't complain I love it because its different and unique. What I learned from using watercolor is that you can't control how the paint drys but can control where the paint goes and I know next time to let the watercolor do most of the work and not go over it so many times. I also learn more and more and more about water color every time I use it and I think more of my pieces will be watercolor.

Eraser Drawing

This is my eraser drawing project that was inspired by one of my classmates named Alex. This was my first time using the erase technique so there were some complications.i really enjoyed using prisma colors for the medium in this project because of the mixture you get when you blend them. This project came out to be pretty good but it wasn't my best

Tucan

This is our second assignment with encaustic wax but this time instead of layering the wax we painted with it. I put forth a lot of effort with this project & it came out ok. I don't think this is my best work. Painting was very difficult because the wax drys so fast. I will continue to get better as the year progress.

Encaustic painting project

It's coming alone slowly. It's so hard to get the wax the way you want it
